Reading and Language Learning

In the bilingual reading corner, we foster children’s interest in reading. Reading builds the foundation of language development. Diverse activities such as English drama, role play and games help children develop their linguistic and social skills. It enables them to be proactive readers as well.

At school, we have reading schemes and story-moms/dads programmes for all ages. We also encourage parent-child reading at home and make reading an enjoyable experience for all.

Entering the World of Art

Children’s creativity in art starts with appreciating art and mother nature. In the Art corner, children get to know well-known paintings, play games relating to the paintings and explore different art techniques. We always display children’s works of art at school. They like to share their creative works and exchange ideas with their peers as well.

Connecting with the Community

Learning outside the campus broaden children’s horizons. Children enjoy taking part in a variety of community activities such as visiting the neighborhood facilities, and elderly homes. Being active members of the local community not only provide children with hands-on learning opportunities, but also enrich their life experiences.

Learning Areas

The school has designed inquisitive and exciting activities to enhance children’s interest in learning. Games are well-thought-out and cover all 6 learning areas: “Physical Fitness and Health", "Language", "Early Childhood Mathematics", "Nature and Living", "Self and Society" and "Arts and Creativity”. Engaging activities promote children’s overall development in language, logical thinking, problem solving and communication skills.

A Comfortable Learning Environment

The school is located in a scenic area with panoramic views of the Aberdeen Marina Club and the Typhoon Shelter. We believe that a comfortable, safe and creative environment is a vital element in learning. Our spacious multi-functional area with natural daylight throughout the premises provides an ideal learning environment for children.
